Soul X Who? Ch.4

Soul woke up to the sunlight blaring in his face. He growled and leaned up, shielding his eyes as he went to stand up. He let out a yawn and a long stretch before scratching at his stomach lightly and looking around, noticing he was now in the apartment alone. Taking a quick look around he found a note taped to the fridge. "Soul, you seemed off yesterday, so we let you sleep, but don't get used to it! When you feel like it, meet us all at the courts. We'll be there all day. -Maka"   Soul blinked a few times at the note before mumbling to himself. "Ugh, guess I'll just have to go then. I don't think Maka will let me get away with skipping out on the whole day. She'd probably just Maka Chop me. Nh." So, slightly reluctant, he went to take a shower before grabbing some toast and heading out to meet everyone else.

Maka POV
Ugh, those two idiots, I swear. Ever since we got here, Black Star and Kidd have been fighting. Tsubaki can't even calm Black Star down, and Kidd is even stooping to Black Star's level. They're like two year olds. Patty even tried her mean voice, and they completely ignored it. They are never this bad, well that's because one thing really. Or really, one person. Ugh, I hope Soul gets here soon. They are always a little more reserved with their hate for each other when he's around. I don't see why, it's not like he does anything to calm them down. Tsubaki thinks it's just because of his calm attitude. Patty says its because he just has that power, apparently like a giraffe.....whatever that means. Liz swears up and down its because of their gay love for him, that they are trying to impress him, but personally I think its just some weird guy thing. The sound of an angry growl pulled my attention away from my thoughts. I quickly glanced around and noticed the idiots about ready to really get into it. They were in each others' faces and their fists were held up. Oh no, here we go.

Black Star POV
HOW DARE THIS TINY JERK TAUNT ME LIKE THAT!!! EVER SINCE WE GOT UP THIS MORNING HE'S BEEN MAKING COMMENTS ABOT HOW SOUL WOULDN'T WANT ME! HOW COULD SOUL NOT WANT MY BIG GODLY SELF!? KIDD'S JUST JEALOUS! AND I'M ABOUT TO TEACH HIM A LESSON!

Kidd POV
Black Star is so infuriating! This morning he wouldn't stop commenting on how Soul wouldn't want an asymmetrical OCD freak like me! Like he'd want someone so full of themselves! Soul deserves better than what that idiot can give him! And I'll see to it that he gets that, after I take care of this moron!

Soul POV
I could've sworn I heard yelling as I walked closer to the courts. The closer I got, the more familiar the voices sounded. It wasn't until everyone was in sight that I could identify who was yelling. Black Star was one of them, not surprising , but the fact that Kidd was the other one shouting kinds caught me off guard. They both seemed pretty ticked and before I could reach them, I saw Star throw the first punch. After that they viciously started laying into each other, worse then I'd even seen it. When I heard the sound of bones cracking I started to worry that this was going too far. So I rushed over and jumped between them, trying to slow them down so I could talk to them. But I didn't really think this through and froze when I saw Black Star rushing at me from the left with a huge amount of his wavelength ready to be blasted through his opponent, and Kidd flying down towards me with one leg out and ready to slam down on his enemy with extreme force. All in all, I suddenly got scarred shitless and froze, flinching some and covering my eyes, waiting for pain to come. But all I got was a huge gust of wind spinning around me in what felt like a Minnie tornado. I opened my eyes to see Kidd squatted down by my leg and Star laid back on the ground, a hand shoved firmly in the ground to come to a sudden halt. I shuddered as I realized how bad that could have been. The other two stood up, keeping me locked between them, and began checking me over, snapping at each other as they did. My head span as I tried to catch up with what was happening. "YOU COULD'VE HURT HIM YOU DUMBASS!" "OH LIKE YOU DIDN'T ALMOST SLAM YOUR FOOT IN HIS HEAD!" "AT LEAST I WASN'T ABOUT TO SHOOT MY WAVELENGTH THROUGH HIM! YOU KNOW THAT HURTS WEAPONS!" "I WASN'T AIMING FOR HIM, I WAS AIMING FOR YOU, YOU FREAK!" "OH YEA, WAY TO BE THE BIG GUY BLACK STAR! CALLING PEOPLE NAMES IS SUCH A GODY THING TO DO!" "SHUT UP YOU PUNY-" "-AND WHAT'S WITH THIS EVERYBODY ELSE IS SMALLER THAN ME THING? I BET YOU'RE JUST OVER COMPENSATING FOR HAVING SUCH A SMALL-" "HEY!" I screamed and shoved a hand in front of each of their faces. They both stared at me, surprised. I growled at them, baring my teeth in annoyance. "Seriously guys, chill. This isn't cool at all. I don't know what your problems are, but either figure them out or drop it! You're giving me a headache. When you decide to stop acting so uncool, come meet the rest of us at Death Diner." I walked away from the two and started toward the restraunt, everyone but those two following.

No one POV
The two boys stared at one another, pouting and angry that they had both only succeeded in annoying the object of their affections. They both grumbled something like a truce before heading off to catch up with everyone, both accepting defeat this round.
